Whether you are currently unemployed or employed but looking for better opportunities or looking for a new role, I can help you take that next step. And best of all, unlike most employment consultants, I do not charge any upfront fee.
The industry standard in some locations is to charge $400 (or more) per hour, but it is unfair and impractical for an individual to pay this amount. You could end up paying the consultant for multiple hours of work on resume writing, but not get much
closer to finding a job.
In fact, it’s feasible to spend $5,000 to $10,000 in a few months and still NOT have a job. At that point, you could either fire them and feel totally lost, or continue to pour money into a process that is unfortunately designed to keep going. I work for you and our goals are totally aligned in a process that is both affordable and mutually beneficial. Isn’t that how this should work?
Once you find a job and are getting paid, I charge a 12% fee of your year 1 total gross annual compensation. This total can be paid out over the course of a few months if you need time. This process works for you as well as me since we are both incentivized for you to get a job!
If requested, I can also offer an hourly rate instead of the year 1 annual fee. Ask me more about the details regarding this.
It’s important to have a clear, cogent strategy in your job search. Clearly identifying what you want to do, where you want to work, and your compensation range is absolutely vital. This may sound obvious but many candidates skip this important first step. Without the right organization and consistency in your job search, you may miss or pass up great opportunities. We will work with you to make sure that this is effectively identified at the beginning so that your search has a clearer path.
This is a big part of an individual’s job search. Unfortunately, some people avoid this part altogether Then, when they do network, it is often times ineffective, disjointed, and unorganized. Networking is not about begging for a job. Instead, it is about leveraging your own network (no matter the size) and also connecting with the right people. We will help you to position yourself so that you can properly leverage your network while making new contacts to aid your search.
I have an entire thorough program that I have developed to help navigate this and I offer it proprietarily to all of my clients.
Your resume is your opportunity to brag about your skills and accomplishments. There’s no question that having a strong resume is key to getting hired. Many employment consultants will charge several hundred (or even thousand!) dollars to help you create the right resume. We will help make you craft a great resume as part of my standard, all-included services without breaking the bank.
Some jobs at certain companies require a cover letter in order to be considered for the role. In my experience, this is more common for non-profit organizations but is not limited to them. We can help you put together an impressive cover letter that grabs a prospective employers’ attention and helps you get to the interview stage.
This leads us to the next service offered: interview preparation. If there is one area we can give you the biggest boost in, it’s interviewing. There are a lot of videos online about how to interview effectively and there is a great deal to learn from this content. However, there is no substitute for having a coach like myself who can help you practice and give you feedback. We will give you the necessary confidence and comfort level to convince an employer to hire you.
Finally, you can’t think of a holistic approach to job hunting if you don’t consider offer negotiation. Often times candidates are so worried about getting a job that they will accept just about any offer that they get. We understand this feeling because we have been there. However, there is a way to tactfully pursue a better offer from an employer without getting your offer pulled. Once your made an offer, we will help you determine what to negotiate and how to do it.
