I’ve been there. Applying for jobs after graduating college into the Great Recession. Laid off. Downsized.  Unemployed. Underemployed. Unsure from where or when my next paycheck was going to come. Looking for jobs can be scary, frustrating, depressing, even hopeless. Trust me, I've been there, too.  I’ve been through all this and more over the course of my career.

But these experiences have made me stronger and taught me how to successfully navigate the job search. They forced me to find and develop the best, most effective techniques to landing a good job. Given my previous circumstances, I had no choice but to figure out how to  find gainful employment and find it fast.  I also quickly learned which methods DO NOT work when searching for a job. Time is money.   It’s almost equally important to know what NOT to do so you don’t waste your valuable time.   Upon figuring out the proven approaches that allowed me to overcome my own employment obstacles, I realized that I wanted to share this knowledge with others who feel as discouraged as I have. I started my own consulting firm because there is nothing I find more rewarding than helping people find meaningful work  Through networking and referrals, I’ve successfully helped (and am currently helping) several clients find jobs in various fields, including but not limited to Supply Chain, Engineering (multiple areas), Data Analytics and Computer Science.  Bottom line: my techniques work whether you are an a Business Analyst or a Procurement Analyst, a Transportation Manager or a Data Scientist. Jason Litman  (AKA Mr. GPA-Guidance on Professional Advancement) has 15+ years of leading large Supply Chain teams at organizations like Amazon, Wayfair and Williams Sonoma.  In addition, he has also worked in the Retained Talent Acquisition for 3+ years, most recently as a Practice Director.  He holds an MBA from Indiana University and a BS in Supply Chain Management from Penn State University. He enjoys traveling, being a brokenhearted Philly sports fan, listening to classic R&B (they don't make music like that anymore), interval training and attempting to intermittent fast.  Many times unsuccessfully.
